About Me

This is me.

I am Marcel Boersma, a software developer from The Netherlands. One of my hobbies (yes I have many) is photography. Whenever I go out into the city or nature, I try to bring my camera and take some pictures.
Nature, and especially Landscapes and sunsets, are my favorite categories of photography. I just love to try and make that shot of a sunset just perfect! You will find lots of pictures in this area in the Gallery section.

I studied Computer Science (or Software Engineering) at bachelor level (US college) at the NHL, with a specialization in "Image Processing" and "Artificial Intelligence". The first specialization, combined with a job at a one-hour photo, initially created my passion for photography.

Since I'm in the computer business, I also designed and created websites for myself, just for the learning experience of course! So a couple of years ago, I bought a domain name vaguely resembling my real name, and went to work! However as of 2007, I now use WordPress just because it's so complete.
